Privacy Policy for Mizanly

1. Scope, developer and privacy contact

Mizanly is developed and published by ZarMasTech. For the purposes of this policy, “Mizanly,” “ZarMasTech,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Mizanly product and its developer/publisher as applicable.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@zarmastech.com. When privacy law applies to you, we will handle valid requests in accordance with applicable requirements and may take reasonable steps to verify the request before acting on account-specific data.

2. Information you provide

Mizanly may process information that you voluntarily enter into, upload to, or create through the app, including:

• Name, email address and authentication-related account information.
• Accounts, account names, account balances and opening balances.
• Income, expenses, transfers, transaction details and transaction splits.
• Budgets, savings goals, loans, repayments, bills, subscriptions and credit-card-related records you choose to track.
• Categories, merchants, tags, notes and other organizational information.
• Receipt images, attachments and information extracted from receipts.
• Preferences, settings and other information you choose to save.

Mizanly does not require online-banking credentials and does not directly connect to your bank account in the current product. If that changes in a future version, the relevant disclosures and permissions will be updated before or when the feature is introduced.

3. Information collected or generated automatically

Depending on the features you use, your settings, device, region and consent choices, Mizanly or its service providers may automatically process limited technical or operational information such as:

• App version, platform, device or operating-system information, language and technical configuration.
• Crash, performance and diagnostic information where diagnostics are enabled or otherwise permitted.
• Usage or analytics events where analytics are enabled or otherwise permitted.
• Advertising identifiers, device identifiers, ad interactions and approximate location inferred from network information where advertising services process such data and applicable consent or legal requirements permit it.
• Google Play purchase, entitlement or billing-event information necessary to verify Mizanly Pro access, maintain entitlement state and help prevent fraud or entitlement recreation after deletion.
• Google Drive authorization state and backup metadata when you choose to connect Google Drive.

Mizanly's user-facing financial calculations, scores, forecasts and insights are product features for your own use. ZarMasTech does not use those calculations to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

4. How we use information

Information may be used as reasonably necessary to:

• Create, authenticate and maintain your Mizanly account.
• Store, synchronize, display, calculate and organize your financial workspace.
• Provide budgets, reports, savings tools, loan tracking, recurring activity, reminders, planning tools and other requested features.
• Process receipts and attachments you choose to use.
• Provide optional backup and restore functionality.
• Verify purchases and Mizanly Pro entitlements.
• Protect accounts, investigate abuse, enforce security controls and prevent fraud.
• Diagnose crashes, reliability issues and performance problems where diagnostics are enabled or permitted.
• Measure app usage where analytics are enabled or permitted.
• Display and measure advertising in the free version, subject to applicable consent and privacy choices.
• Comply with applicable law, valid legal process and enforceable obligations.

5. Firebase and Google Cloud services

Mizanly uses Google Firebase services to provide authentication, cloud data storage, security, reliability, backend functions and optional diagnostics. Financial workspace data associated with your account may be stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is separated using authenticated account-based access controls.

Services may include Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase App Check, Cloud Functions, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring. Analytics and diagnostic features operate according to applicable Mizanly settings, consent choices and technical configuration.

6. Advertising, consent and privacy choices

The free version of Mizanly may display advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob and participating advertising partners may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, ad interactions, diagnostics and other device or usage information as permitted by applicable law, platform rules and your consent or privacy choices.

Where required or configured for applicable regions, Mizanly uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and related privacy controls to request consent or present advertising privacy choices. An Ad privacy options entry may be shown in Mizanly when Google indicates that a privacy-options entry point is required for your current region or consent state.

Eligible Mizanly Pro users may not be shown advertising according to the applicable product features and entitlement state.

7. Receipt images and OCR

Mizanly can attach receipt images to financial records and can use on-device text recognition to help identify receipt information. Receipt text recognition is performed locally using Google ML Kit Text Recognition. Receipt images that you choose to retain or include in supported backup or synchronization features may be stored or transferred as necessary to provide those features.

8. Optional Google Drive backup

If you choose to connect Google Drive, Mizanly may use your Google account authorization to create, access, list or restore Mizanly backup data in the hidden app-specific storage area of your own Google Drive account. Google Drive access is optional. Mizanly does not use your Google Drive content for advertising.

You can disconnect or revoke Google Drive authorization. Revoking authorization may prevent Mizanly from listing, creating or restoring Drive backups until you reconnect.

9. Local device data and device security

Some information may be stored locally on your device to provide preferences, saved filters, favourites, cached calculations, app-lock functionality, receipts, attachments and other app functionality. Mizanly also reduces unnecessary cloud requests and performs financial calculations locally where practical.

If you enable biometric app protection, biometric matching is handled by the device operating system. Mizanly receives the authentication result and does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template or other biometric template.

10. Data sharing and service providers

Mizanly does not sell your personal financial records as a data product. Information may be disclosed or processed by service providers needed to operate requested features, including Google services such as Firebase, Google Drive, Google ML Kit, Google Play services and Google AdMob, subject to applicable permissions, consent choices, contracts and their own privacy obligations.

Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process; protect the rights, safety and security of users, ZarMasTech or others; investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

11. Security

Mizanly uses safeguards intended to protect user information, including authenticated user isolation, encrypted transport, server-authoritative security controls, Firebase App Check where applicable, secure local storage where applicable, PIN and biometric app protection, restricted network-security settings, backup controls and data-cleanup processes.

No electronic storage, transmission, authentication or software system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also protect their device, Google account, email account and Mizanly credentials and should not share passwords or authentication codes with others.

12. Data retention

Financial data may remain associated with your Mizanly account while the account is active or until you delete the relevant information. Local information may remain on your device until it is deleted through Mizanly, the app is uninstalled, app storage is cleared or the applicable cleanup process is performed.

Backup files intentionally created in your own Google Drive account may remain there until you delete them from Google Drive or through supported Mizanly backup controls.

After permanent account deletion, Mizanly may retain a minimal one-way deletion marker solely for security, fraud prevention and to prevent delayed backend or Google Play billing events from recreating data for a deleted account. The marker does not contain your email address, financial records, purchase token, order ID or account profile. Limited deletion-request or support correspondence may also be retained where reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance or record keeping. Google Play and other service providers may independently retain transaction, operational or security information under their own obligations.

13. Account and data deletion

Mizanly provides two distinct deletion options:

• Delete financial data: deletes the finance workspace while keeping the Firebase login account and any valid Mizanly Pro entitlement.
• Permanently delete account: deletes the Firebase Authentication account, Mizanly profile and Mizanly's Firestore user tree, including the server-side Pro entitlement, together with Mizanly-side billing records directly linked to that Firebase user ID, subject only to the limited retention described above where applicable.

You can initiate deletion in the app under Settings → Account & Data or use the public resource: Mizanly Account & Data Deletion.

Permanent Mizanly account deletion does not cancel or refund purchases or subscriptions managed independently by Google Play. Cancel an active subscription in Google Play if you no longer want future charges. Mizanly Pro purchases are securely bound to the Mizanly account that initiated them, so an existing Google Play purchase may not transfer to a different Mizanly account created after permanent deletion.

Google Drive backups are stored in your own Google Drive app-data area and are not automatically removed by an external Mizanly deletion request. If you want those backups removed, delete them from Mizanly's Backup & Restore feature before deleting the account, or manage the app's stored data through your Google account where available.

14. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal information processed about you. These rights can vary and may be subject to legal exceptions or verification requirements.

Where laws such as the GDPR/UK GDPR apply, processing may rely on performance of the service requested by you, legitimate interests such as security and reliability where permitted, consent where required, or compliance with legal obligations. Where applicable U.S. state privacy laws provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of certain sale/sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive-data uses, or avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights, valid requests can be submitted to support@zarmastech.com.

15. International users and international processing

Mizanly may be available in multiple countries. Information may be processed or stored in countries where ZarMasTech's service providers operate, which may be different from your country of residence. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, processing is intended to rely on the safeguards and contractual mechanisms made available by the relevant service providers and applicable law.

16. Children's privacy

Mizanly is intended for adults and is not specifically designed or directed toward children. ZarMasTech does not knowingly design Mizanly to solicit personal financial information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances requiring removal under applicable law, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated when Mizanly's features, service providers, legal requirements or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published at this URL with an updated revision date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it through an appropriate method.
